Your website layout, color scheme, and content should be what you want. We are happy to give suggestions, but ultimately, it is your website and it should be the way you want it so that it reflects your business or organization accurately.
Why do you need a website?
In this modern day of electronic communications, it is crucial to have a web presence. In business, it is a must. Even organizations and clubs are finding that having a website not only attracts new members, but it also serves as a location where members can check calendars, download forms, etc. Whether you are a business owner, or associated with an organization, you need to consider who your target audience is and how to reach them. Statistics show that the majority of people turn to the internet to search and locate information. If you are not on-line, they may not find you and you very well might miss an opportunity. Don’t let that happen. Get on-line!
I have a Facebook page, so I don't need a website...
Believe it or not, not everyone uses social media sites. Many people do not care for the public aspect of platforms such as Facebook, and prefer to keep their internet time private. If your business or group has a Facebook page that is great. Social media is a wonderful tool. However, you may not be reaching your full potential. In order to view a Facebook page, a viewer must have a Facebook account. If they do not, they will not see your Facebook page. You should ALWAYS have a main website, the flag ship of your business, to reach 100% of your audience base. People will visit your website, but they many not wish to join Facebook. (Something to think about...)
Updating older sites:
Perhaps you have a website? It is crucial to keep your website up-to-date. Frequently, websites that are over five years old, are out dated. This is caused by many reasons. One of the reasons why a website becomes out dated is the maintenance and upkeep required to keep a website up to date, has been let go. Website maintenance requires time and as time goes on, it can become a burdened and ultimately, it is let go. Another reason why a website becomes out dated is perhaps the original webmaster is no longer available. Sites whose webmaster has abandoned them, are known as rogue sites.
